COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEMBERS 2006

Shiona lives and still helps out at the family farm, moving to Scotston in 1976. She now has grandchildren attending Auchterhouse Primary School where she is a grandparent member of the school Eco Council.

Shiona was a member of the Community Council for many years before relinquishing the position on becoming an MSP. No longer in Parliament, she has happily become involved again in village life.

She is particularly interested in environmental issues, working to ensure the village and its surrounds is an attractive place in which to live.

Garry has lived in the village for 31 years. He has been associated with the Community Council since it started in 1976. He is now retired after working in industry as a mechanical engineer. His many interests in the community include the Church, the Hall and ACWAG when he is not playing golf, walking or gardening. He has four grown-up children.

Linda worked as a Clinical Psychologist with Tayside Health Board until she retired three years ago.  She has lived in the village since 1993.

Local activities include the Community Woodland Group and co-ordinating the bi-annual squirrel surveys in Dronley Wood for the Scottish Squirrel Survey project.

Other interests include walking two very energetic dogs, gardening, and Tai Chi.

Linda is also co-ordinating the Tayside Friends of the Earth Group this year, having an interest in environmental and planning matters.

Pamela moved to Auchterhouse in 2001 with her family.Her children attend the schools - Auchterhouse Primary and Monifieth High. Pamela works for Angus Council Education Department and is also a representative for the Parent Council and Pupil Council at Auchterhouse Primary School. In her free time she enjoys socialising with friends.

Bob moved to Auchterhouse with his family in 2001. He is married to Diane and has 2 children, Robert and Beth who attend Auchterhouse Primary School. Bob is a Civil Engineer and Road Safety Auditor who works for Perth and Kinross Council. In his spare time he is a keen motorcyclist and along with son Robert a season ticket holder at Tannadice.

Clive moved to Auchterhouse in September 2003.  He runs his own business called
"Bright and Breezy" which is a window-cleaning and gardening service which he set up
after he moved.  He is married to Barbara and has two children, Peter and Euan who
attend Auchterhouse School.  Clive is also an elder in the local church.



Each Community Councillor covers a specified geographical area of the parish. You may occasionally be contacted by him/her and asked for your views or opinions. In turn, do not hesitate to contact them with any issues you wish to be raised at meetings.

Some Councillors have been allocated areas of responsibility relating to some of Angus Council's departments. Again, do not hesitate to contact them in relation to matters under these headings.
