Our church is at the heart of the community, occupying a central site in the village of Kirkton of Auchterhouse and being central to the lives of many people as it has been for over 7 centuries.
The church offers something for all: -

- Auchterhouse Junior Church*
- A monthly evening Bible study held at an elder's home.

Auchterhouse Junior Church
At our end of term service in June, 21 children from Youth Group, Junior Church and Creche received either a book token or a book. Our Assistant Minister, Rev Anja Matthalm. made the presentations. David thanked all the helpers involved with the groups for their continued care and support.
Our Junior Church offerings over the past year amounted to £180. Local ladies, Mrs Joyce Mothers and Mrs Jane Cochrane, are spending some 3 weeks in Tanzania this summer, working with children in orphanages. The charity which they are involved with, is the 'Children of Songea Trust', and we felt that this was a very worthwhile cause. The ladies hope to organise a Sports Day, a party and provide extra craft and art materials for the children. We hope our offerings bring some cheer to those children who have been orphaned by AIDS. In autumn, we hope to welcome the ladies to Junior Church, to tell us more about their trip and the work of the charity.
If you have not been to Creche, Junior Church or Youth Group before, we would be delighted to welcome you. For more information, please contact Margaret Wallace (Tel 01382 825143).
