Our final weeks before the end of the summer term featured participating in the courgette competition. The funds raised, going towards HIV/Aids. This was met with great enthusiasm when Christina Duncan first made the suggestion. We await the results with bated breath! Also on a green-fingered note, Maureen Hodgson assisted the children with a garden makeover. The tubs at the kirk door, were re-sited and new alpines were established. The results make the church more welcoming
Eva Bell encouraged us all to take part in the Christian Aid walk. This proved very popular, with our creche children also, supporting this good cause. The walk along the recently resurfaced former Rosemill to Dronley Railway Line was enjoyed by everyone as was the picnic in Dronley Woods. A huge thank you to all the children who took part.
At our end of term service, we welcomed Mr Murray who presented the Junior Church children with their books and the Youth Group with their book tokens. We appreciated Mr Murray doing the presentation particularly as his great granddaughter was being baptized during the service. It was a busy but very happy morning.
We start the new term still meeting in the church for the first part of the service. We then go to the hall for our activities. It would be marvellous to welcome more children to Junior Church. Please contact Margaret Wallace, 01382 325143, if you would like more information or if you would like to help in any way.

The provision of care for the under 5's is made possible by several ladies on a rota basis. We appreciate their help very much. We would welcome more families to make use of this fantastic resource. Mrs Heather Heggie would be delighted to hear from parents or members of the congregation who would like to help out from time to time. Please contact her on 01382 320305
